Young-ho (played by Kang Ha-neul) is a young man stuck in a boring routine, studying for his university entrance exam for the third time without any real dreams or goals. One day, he thinks back to a special childhood friend and decides to write her a letter. So-hee (Chun Woo-hee) is a woman who runs a small bookstore with her mother. She hasn’t found her own dream yet, but her life changes when she receives Young-ho’s letter. The letter was meant for her older sister, So-yeon, who is very sick and in the hospital. Since So-yeon is unable to reply, So-hee writes back to Young-ho on her sister’s behalf. This simple letter starts a heartfelt connection between the two, and they continue to exchange letters, sharing their thoughts, hopes, and feelings with each other.
